Need some Help to get the car to fire..

Hey Everyone ,

First off thanks for stopin in to see if you can help. I have a 94 3rd gen that I have had for sometime now.. she has been sitting for just over a year and Im going to get back into working on her , however , my current problems that I am facing I cant seem to fix. Thus where you all come in...

I have currently not been able to start the car. I have replaced the battery with a brand new one and still have no luck. I then have disassembled the clutch switch because it was sticking and I have purchased a new oem one , that hasnt fixed it either... now I have the steering colum appart to try and fix the ignition system figuring that its not making contact, and Ive gotten the car to now turn on the check engine light comes on and then staying on while i attempt to try and crank the car without sucess 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time i can get it to crank over once without a sucessful start.

With the history out of the way where can I try next to fix the problems, I would love to get this gem back out on the open road. Any help is greatly appriciated and thank you all so much for your time.

Kind Regards-

Ya i been there fuses look good. I finally got an error code to come up showing 25 , according to the shop manuals looks like some solinoid valve. Looks like ill be trying that and taking the intake off again.. ugh. Any other sugeestions are welcomed. Thanks to all !

if it has been sitting for along time sometimes the side seal springs stay stuck in the compressed mode so when you try to start her theres not enough compression . this is a simple test ,take a small hose ,put one end of it down the throttle body ,youll have to take off the intake elbow to have access, then hold open the butterflies, shove the hose in you only have to go a few inches past the throttle body then take a funnel and attach it to the other end, pour in a little automatic trans fluid only about one cup no more then remove hose and start motor ,this will help build compression quick to start motor , she will smoke like hell till it burns all the atf but this will not harm motor leave her running for awhile so the springs will all loosen if there stuck . thats an old school rotary method good luck

^ I agree but what i did was just drill a hole in the top of an ATF quart so you can squeeze it in through the intake elbow and just gas the car while you crank and let it absorb in there.. I did this like 2 days ago my FD was the same way it wouldn't start after sitting for a week. i put like 2 quarts of ATF in though like... i had to put a lot and let it sit there for like 10 mins then some more and it finally started... smokes like hell but it's harmless to the engine, and my car went back to running fine.
