need help asap
First of all I have a 2nd Gen 86 rx7 non turbo 13b stock everything. The hose in the second picture is where I want to start, I'm not sure what it is but it connects to the firewall in front of the drivers position and it's leaking out I believe. The first picture is where the other end of that same hose connects behind the back 2 sparks plugs on the driver side of the engine, as far as I could see there was nothing wrong with that end of the hose. Third picture, A rectangular metal looking object which is not hoisted down tightly, I could move it with my flash light. When I turn the engine off it starts steaming out quite a bit from that part and it is located bottom of the engine passenger side. I am not sure what this piece is or what it does and I am trying to find the answer to both of those questions so I can figure out what to do about it. Please any information would be appreciated.

well the hose is a heater coollant hose i believe. just unbolt and fixas nescerary. then the 3rd pic show ur exhaust manifold, it probally just got a small leak in the manifold that lets just a little seep threw at low pressures. honestly dont think it very big problem unless it makes an annoying clicking noise then replacing it will stop the clicking.

so even if it is blowing smoke from it no big worry and I believe the heating core might be leaking so could that come through the hose on the firewall side aswell as in the driver floorboard?

sounds about right if ur heater core was leaking. and my manifold smoked from having wd-40 on it for a while it burned it off for quite some time. does your mufflers smoke at all??

From what I've noticed the mufflers haven't smoked since I let it burn some of the old *** gas that was in it before switching spark plugs out, So I'm gonna say no on that one

i agree with canonize. i had the same problem and i just ended up replacing all components and it stopped smoking and all is well. I never heard any clicking either but when it comes to car parts i would rather be safe than sorry. So i just replace the parts if it could potentially turn into a worse problem.

honestly i believe your manifold cover(the metal rectangle) is loose(which is why it moves with a flashlight) it has a few bolts on the underneath u can tighten and a few on either sides. and maybe being loose your manifold itelf it touching it burning some of the heat resistant matting on the inside. not entirely dangerous but anything could start a fire(manifold being right under most fuel related parts.)
