Need help

Ok I just bought a '87 rx7. The car had only one problem it won't start. I checked for spark and compression and all is good but no fuel I sprayed starter fluid in the intake and it ran fine for alittle while. The fuel pump is good but no fuel from the injectors. The guy I bought it from said he changed a clutch and when he put it back together it wouldn't start he tried fixing it but was a moron which leads me to the next problem. With the battery hooked up the power is always on key or no key. I need some guidence I am a aircraft mech but no experiance with these engines help me fast please.

Double check the battery is not backwards... power should not always be on, and if the battery is not backwards, I would next be checking the ignition switch wiring to make sure that it is not a bad ignition switch

Make sure the egi fuse is not blown are missing, the fuel pump plug is connected under the rear trunk carpet, fuel pump relay is connecte or working properly and for the ignition always on its either a bad ignition are they may have installed seperate switch or remote alarm, with electrical it can be a bunch of stuff,if you can't fint it easily suggest you take it to someone that is experienced with electrical.

I checked the fuel pump and its good. Now just by chance I checked the tank cause how funny would that be Isn't there some kind of thing you have to do to these if you run out of gas and it won't start after fill up.

I was also wondering if it could be the ecu I'm thinking he might have fryed it when he was trouble shooting. Is there a way to check to see if the ecu is good or bad.

Well I found the problem and I have to say I laughed so hard it hurt. It turns out he replaced the spark plugs when he did the clutch and he used autozone specials. Well he didn't know about the lead and trailing plugs being different and well I got a $700 87 rx7 with 77000 and all it needed was spark plugs.
