need help with 12 a

just had the auto elec round and reckons my loom is in bad shape. its an rx2 72 mdl. does anyone know of new looms for this model or how much a rewire is? he is saying over 2000 dollars. Or does anyone have one for sale? alot of wires are stripped away and some are missing. any help would be appreciated thanks melbourne victoria.

Your best bet may be to find someone parting a similar car and get their harness, if it is in acceptable shape.

Another option would be a universal harness such as the ones made by Painless Wiring. The electrical system in the early RXs is very simple, so a universal harness with the appropriate number of circuits should go in without too much trouble (though you will have to make additions for trailing ignition, etc.).
