Need fast help...

Ok im going in a few mins to look at buying a 85 rx7. He says it runs good but smokes when its warm. what all could be calsing this? I know thats a brod Q, but the only thing else I know is that the car has 163000 on it and has a big muffler so im guessing some punk kid use to hot rod it. help me please...

Could be burning oil or coolant. Does the smoke look bluish or is it white and hangs in the air for a while?? Could just be that its cold and you see the smoke.

Very possible bad oil control rings. It means the engine is tired and in need of a rebuild.

I second that.. oil leaks through until the seals expand from the heat, then stops smoking...
