i have a 1983 gsl with a bad compressor(four seasons 57320) i was told at the mazda dealer i need the compressor clutch as well, they also seem uninterested in locating one for me. does anyone have one available? will a different brand fit as i have found several others but look totally different from what is there now. thanks for your time and any adivice will be greatly appreciated. mike

thanks for your advice, i guess i should have asked how many different types or brands of air compressors utilized by mazda back in the 80s. seems like every time i look at a engine compartment pic, i see a diff model of air compressor. how do i know if the clutch is bad and not just the compressor not holding a charge?

 

Do you have emissions testing in Ohio? If not, then remove the cat and the pump and just be done with it. Save money, get better performance.
