FB sitting forever, also GSL LSD question..
Just bought this 82, has been sitting for a very long time, so of course the gas is jelled up in the tank. Anyone have suggestions for this? I think I will be pulling the tank out and cleaning it out, no questions asked. Should I worry about the tank straps being in bad shape? I found someone selling them reasonably cheap so I was going to buy them and hope for the best.
Also, a friend has a LSD from a GSL, will it work in my basemodel rear end, I know my car is drum and a GSL would be disc.

If your friend has an entire rear end from a GSL, then jump on it. Easy swap, and you get disc brakes and the LSD. Same thing I did for my GS.
Remove the tank and take it to a radiator shop to have it boiled and sealed (should run about 50 bucks). Straps "should" be fine, but you won't know for sure until you check them yourself. Not a known problem for these cars though.
Have fun...
