from the only thing i can think of its the back up light switch in the transmission , but i dont know where its located on this, is it difficult? any other ideas on what it could be?

If your car has every had clutch or transmission work, it's common for things like the reverse switch to be left unplugged. I believe it's in the same general location as on an FC transmission: the side of the tail housing.
