my first gen wont start, gslse
so i own a 85 gslse with the 13 b, so ive had it for a few months now an had no problems with it, except for my alternator. so my old battery was bad so i bought a new one. waited about a week an bought a new alternator. after installing the new alternator car wont start.
all lights an every thing come one like normal, ive try an try an try to start it but the car doesnt want to turn on. it almost does but doesnt. ive pulled the 2 bottom plugs an tested compression close to almost perfect compression, checked my distibutor all came out fine an check out all the spark plug wires all gave good spark. everytime i try starting the car becomes flooded so i do the unflooding method, so what could it be.
keep in mind the car is daily driven an has never sat for a long time
i just need my car back up in running but dont know what it could be. could it be my spark plugs??

So you know you are getting fuel, spark, and compression. When you were doing this did you remove the plug wires? Your sure that you have the firing order correct? I did that one time by mistake and it drove me crazy for a week. Also since you had to remove belts to do the alternator swap, did you double check that the belts were installed correctly as well? Funny how these things work, its always the simple jobs that spawn the difficult problems.
