My first 91 FC
Hi, my names Angelo and I'm from San Diego ca. I just recently got a 91 FC auto. I'm new to this whole rotary world and I'm having problems with it. When I got the car the other day, it was running fine. The owner did say that it was having some over heating problems and the gears are having some automatic shifting slip. I don't really know what it is. But then right when I parked the car, it started leaking coolant. After that it wont start anymore. I thought it was just the battery because of it being busted. But then I bought a new one and still wouldn't start. Could it be the spark plugs? maybe the fuel pump or injector? or the battery not having enough power for the car to turn over? The car's cranking when you try to start it but it just wont turn over. If anyone in San Diego could help me out and check out my car, that'll be great. Please and thank you. I will post pictures later as I get to fix the car.

Ouch. I really don't like the part about the coolant leaking out but let's see what the resident 2ndgen guru's have got to offer for advice. I moved the thread from the Introduce Yourself board because it didn't fit over there at all.

Welcome to the forum!
Ugh... Overheating and leaking coolant is no good. It's very possible that your coolant seals are done. You can always pressure test the coolant system and/or do a compression test on the engine to see what kind of damage has been done.

Yes, the spark plugs or fuel pump could cause the cranking problem, but I would first try unflooding the engine to see if that works:
