the sickness is back

I have an 88 TII conversion track car that I buried in the garage under a pile of crap years ago. I was in the process of installing a Haltech E8 550 pri 1000 secondary. I have jumped back into this with both feet. I have track time June 4th and the car runs like crap. It seems to be pretty good wide open I've had it up to 7lbs. of boost. I only have a friends very long driveway to tune in. The problem is idle and under vacuum. The wide band seems ok to me 12.5-13.5 but the smoke and the bog says crazy rich. I do have a small vacuum leak at the shaft for the secondary butterflies. I have orderd a DNA 90mm throttle body but I don't think I will get it in time to have installed for the 4th. I'm wondering if most of the problem is timing. What should the timing be at 750-100 rpm with no load ?

Did you zero the timing? You need to lock the timing at -5 in the Haltech software and then adjust the crank sensor until the leading mark on the pulley lines up with the pointer.

At around 750RPM idle I'd typically dial in about 10 degrees to start with.

Since the car sat for so long, it's a good assumption that one or more injectors are bad. They need to be professionally serviced. When mixtures are overly rich and misfires are happening, widebands lie.
