Does the engine attempt to turn over when you start ignition?

You may have a stuck injector flooding it.

Its Probably Flooded

Heres What You Do: First Make Sure Your Battery Is Fully Charged. Then Take The Plugs Out Clean Them Or Replace Them (i Would Replace Them) Then Turn The Car Over For 1 Minute With Out The Plugs In ( This Will Clean Out All Of The Fuel). Put The Plugs In And Try To Start It. Also If You Press The Gas Pedal All The Way Down This Cut The Fuel Off, If You Have An Injector That Leaks This Will Help It Start.

If you're not sure about the fuel filter, definitely replace it. The fuel filter is very important and often neglected due to the location.

Power issues in an FD are usually related to boost. Do you have a boost gauge, and what does it read?
