Before my car didn't start it used to take a couple cranks to turn over the car. and then now it just died.i tried jumping it but still wouldn't start.i have a new battery and alternator and starter works(tested and passed). My fuel pump primes when its switched to on. i checked my fuses and none are burnt out. the car cranks but my car still doesn't start. I have and 88 rx7

Have you tried turning the key to the start position?

























































Check fuel pressure, check for spark.

Mine doesnt seem flooded to me but im gonna try a deflooding.

U can do the same!
I bet thats the problem!

definitely check for spark and if u have access to a compression tester make sure u got compression.

I would look into flooding rotary's don't like really short trips in and out of the garage I would recommend letting it warm up anytime you run it and refer to your manual if you can't let it run to warm up, it has some good tips on how to prevent flooding.

A compression test on a flooded motor will return a result that shows a dead motor. Many an RX7 has gone to the junkyard due to a flooded motor.

Pull the plugs and confirm that you have spark, give them a good cleaning while they are out too. Rotate the engine backwards by hand to push the excess fuel out of the spark plug holes. Squirt an ounce of motor oil into each rotor housing through the spark plug hole, then rotate by hand again. Then, start the motor. The oil should help to rebuild the compression and get you started.

Probably flooded kind sir. My car died out while warming up and then flooded. (All the emissions are removed on my 7, including the BAC (previous owner did it all) which does not bode well in the 30 degree weather right now) I was late for class so I didn't have time to un-flood the car and caught a ride with a friend. Long story short, I let it sit all day until I got home and it started again.

It should crank, unless you flooded it to a ridiculous extreme. If so, follow the instructions above.

My problem, which my not help anyone here was nothing mechanical. The clutch switch bearing under the dash was broken. It essentially acted as a kill switch because It didnt know that the clutch was engaged.
