My car is too slow...

So as th title says my car is SLOW!

It's an 88 gtu, motor has 29k on it, has an exhaust leak, and my friends stock 88 gxl is much faster.

so i thought it was the aux ports not opening (cause of the exhaust leak)
and they werent opening! So i ziptied bolth the aux accuators to fully open. and my car runs exactly the same, idels the same, still no topend power?

could it just be my exhaust leak?

or maybe my secondary injectors not working?
my car just really has no power after 4-5k rpm, and im stumped!

thanks for any help/input

Exhaust leaks won't cause power loss, but a problem with the secondaries definitely will. If the secondaries are not working, the engine will rev to about 5-6k RPM, then hit a wall. You won't be able to rev it to redline under load (but you can if not under load). Does the car still have precats or the main cat? They could be plugged, which will cause power loss at mid to high RPMs.
