MS3 techs and tips

Hey guys! I have a 1990 eunos cosmo currently swapping a 13b-rew and a s5 turbo transmission in it. Just bought a Megasquirt MS3 with relay board. Probably gonna buy the X expanssion board and racepak + ms adapter and wondering if anyone has a ms3 in there FD, what techs and tricks have you guys learned while installing in and programing it and where do you get your base map from!

Thanks!

This writeup deals with a FC but the only difference is the connection to the crank pickup (it's still a 12 - 2) and coils.

You don't need the relay board. The relay board is really designed for a car that never had EFI and provides a convenient set of terminals for connections. Basically for muscle cars.

You absolutely want the MS3X expansion. That is what enables sequential injection and among other things, has the needed second VR conditioner circuit for the CAS.

The base maps in my writeup above will start an REW. You'll just have to adjust the ignition output settings, putting the Megasquirt into FD mode.

and I knew that the relay board wasn't necessary, but the wiring diagrams for the cosmo only comes in Japanese, it will simplify the ignition wiring process!
