Motor and reliablity Question.

So I found a '92 rx7 fd twin tubro that I am looking to buy. It has 70k on the frame and a rebuilt motor, It looks clean but I cant get the family loan if I can't convince my aunt that It will be more reliable then her gen 1 was. So is there any difference between the fb, fc, and fd engines?I would also like to know out of those who have them(fd) can someone tell me if I am going to be putting it in the shop alot? are these motors reliable?(i.e. daily driver.) I am interested but I also don't want a car that will cost more to keep up then it does to buy it.
thanks for the help.
Peace
Perry

I think you're wasting your time trying to convince your Aunt of that. The 3rd gen is a relatively complex system and, IMO, is no where near as reliable as a 1st gen. But good luck anyway.
