Around 5k rpm the car seems to fall on it's face. It bogs and stutters like it's missing. I'm going to assume it's the the Ignition System. The exhaust smells rich too. You can always smell gas.

 

When was the last time the car received a full tuneup?

It could be a number of things, but you should check:

-TPS
-boost sensor
-all injectors
-AFM
-CAS

It could also be a simple as a clogged fuel filter. Does this happen all the time, or only at high throttle?

 

High throttle. If I keep on the gas it works through the issue but I don't go very much higher in RPM maybe another 500 RPM more. I don't want something bad to happen. I'll replace some parts as soon as I can. The car runs super strong a lower RPM. No issues at all.

 

Sounds like a fuel starvation issue.

Check the simple things first like the fuel filter and fuel pump pickup sock.

 

i have been having the same problem, and i have not figured it out yet i need to get the filter and the pump in this week.

 

Have you done the fuel pump or the filter yet, are problems might be different but I need some advice with mine too, when i put the throttle past a certain point and it just sputters and wont go anywhere.
