Missing OMP(MOP) rod @#$%

Howdy, so I'm going through my 85 GSL, fixing and removing rats nest/airpump) things and I decide to test/adjust my OMP. Much to my surprise, the throttle rod that goes to the OMP has decided to jump ship, I mean its just gone. So I'm thinking i should run premix now, but would like to find a rod to see if the OMP works. Is this something that I can get at the dealership, (I checked Mazdatrix and Black Dragon) or do I need to find a used one? Not many wreckers here in Missoula anymore so I guess used would have to be through here. I'm a noob so I'm not sure if I can post in the classifieds yet. Anyone got one laying around?
I just had a thought, can the arm on the OMP be tied up in such a way to run without the throttle linkage. I know it will be oil rich at idle, but is it possible until I can locate a rod? Thanks

Found it in the 84-85 parts fiche. They call it a connecting rod and it's PN: N304-14-651C. The real question will be whether mazda still makes them. I've run into a couple of parts for '86-'91s that are no longer in production, so I'd guess it's even worse for 1st gens.

In the meantime, premix with some 2-stroke oil. I think the ratio is about 1 oz. per 2 gallons of fuel. You could prop the OMP arm into the maximum position, but you'd go through oil in no time and likely smoke like crazy.

Cool thanks RR88. I save the fiche will go talk to Mazda.

Bump... for anyone who's got one lying around.
Thanks again.

go cut the cable and sheath off the brake of a dead push bike
then go to the push bike shop and buy a $1 bullet screw on end crimp

doenst take much imagination, and will work for custom manifolds and or spacers
( where the original link will not )
