Mileage on imported from Japan Engines

How reliable are the figures quoted for mileage on engines imported from Japan. I am looking at a 1993 RX7 with a blown engine. Will the engines from Japan require a new ECU?

Thanks.

Wade

Nobody would Ever lie about a used car...........wait.......hahhahhahahaa!..Roflmao!( sorry!)

From what I've seen and heard, mileage is typically less on cars from Asia/Japan than what we would expect to see here on a car the same age. BUT....their idea of "routine maintenance" is far different from ours.
And no, I can't think of a reason the ECU that came with the car shouldn't work in Canada.

So does that mean the Japanese maintain more or less than North Americans?
