might be getting a 89 rx7, any advice?

hey whats up guys? im pretty new to everything but would really like to learn and im very interested in theses cars. i have a 5spd 90' 300zx up for trade and might have found someone to trade to. he has an 89 rx7 with a motor he said was out of an s5. im not even sure on what body type. he said it was a gxl with a gxl motor swapped in. original color, no electrical issues other then the driverside seat belt, he said he installed an extra fuse to handle load because the headlight fuse was blowing out. new clutch, no accidents.....

help me out guys, what do you think? no flaming, im a newb. is there anything im missing or anything else that would tell me this car isnt a good trade?

That is the appropriate engine for that year of car. Check the FAQ for details on the differences between years. You will also find very detailed how to buy guides.

That's a bit odd.

The seatbelt is a common failure and under lifetime warrenty by Mazda.

Headlights should not require "extra" fuses. My guess is that the wiring has rubbed through somewhere and is shorting.
