Mazdaspeed clocks

Hi guys,

Got myself a jap import fd3s, car came with mazdaspeed clocks in it, the rev counter is giving me problems. Its being very tempermental working sometimes and not workin most of the time?

Does it recieve a digital signal or could it be a loose connection or faulty sensor somewhere??

Thanks,
Aaron

Post pics of your 'clocks' so we can all make sure we're on the same page.

The tachometer (aka tach, aka rev counter) sometimes gets screwy on the FD. I know mine recently started acting up jumping a bit and occasionally showing incorrect revs. There is a fix for it as I remember seeing a thread on it. I think the fix involved re soddering the ground on the tach but don't remember exactly. You are welcome to use the Search functionality to search for the thread in the 3rd gen section. Or you can replace the tach with a working one from another FD.
