Lost powering while corning. 86 NA

Today while trying to catch a light. I cornered pretty hard and the car kicked sideways. While countering I lost power. It was pretty severe. Pedal to the floor I had nothing. I was thinking fuel baffles from what I have already found on the forums, but I had a full tank so it seems like it shouldn't make a difference. Anyone have any ideas? I'm lost.

Amazing how many cars there out there in dangerous condition. And the amount of people who shrug things off like battery tie downs. Yeah, such a good idea to have 50 LBs of dead weight just sitting in the engine bay. And a massive fire hazard if it was to bounce around and the positive terminal short on the hood...

Yeah it's a terrible idea. I just haven't had the time to fix it. It's fixed as of today though.

eh? i understand why you want your battery tied down but i don't know why you'd lose power when it moves.

doesn't the alternator do the job when there's no battery power, or does it need to be at enough revs to pump out the amps?

How can an alternator put out power if it being shorted out by a positive battery post hitting the hood causing it to ground out?(the alternator is hooked up to the battery)
How does the Ecu get power when the Electrical system sees a Short?
How can I lose 50 pounds and look like I am 25 again?
