Loss of acceleration around 3800 rpm.
I have a 1988 RX 7 Turbo and there seems to be a loss of acceleration at around 3800 rpms. It seems like I have read something previously about this issue but do not recall where or what the fix or correction was.
Any suggestions?

3800 RPM hesitation is a problem with the staging of the secondary injectors. It can be due to poor grounds; primarily the main ECU/sensors ground on the rear iron. Some have had success with re-grounding the 2 or 3 ECU ground wires to the floor of the car. If this is done, it is vital that the correct wires are spliced into.
I have this hesitation whenever I accelerate right around 3500-4000 RPM
The dreaded 3800 RPM hesitation is cause 90% of the time by poor ground connections between the engine, the battery, and the car. Clean or replace all the under hood ground connections. On 86 model year cars , replacing/re-grounding the pressure sensor's ground wire has helped (do not re-ground a 87 or later model year).
