Learning the rotary ways.

I was looking to buy a FD but i have heard so many bad reps about rotary's, obviously i know it has to do with the driver. So i am joining the community to learn what i can about maintaining a rotary the correct way. And to find better places to search for FDs on the market. And it seems autotrader and ebay are not working so well as of now.

Welcome to rx7club! if you look through the 3rd gen specific i know theres a thread on prolonging the life of your rotary etc. basically keep up to date with the regulars like oil changes with new oil filters, plugs, good gas, cleaned injectors, and cooling tends to be an issue as far as i read. for fd's stock mount intercoolers are good and vmounts are excellent with a duct. front mounts tend to block to cool flow of air that goes to the radiator... goodluck with your search and hope you find a keeper! check out the 3rd gen fs threads

Start by reading the FAQ threads for the particular generation you are looking for. Those threads often have buyer's guides as well.

Once you understand what to look for, start looking on this forum, craigslist, autotrader, cars.com, ebay. The owner of this place is often on the forums. I can't remember if he is a vendor but he does post cars for sale on here sometimes.

rx7's are sweet.. as long as you dont keep the dinky rotery engine. V8 swap is sooo much better. plus i read it weighs a lot less than a rotery

Scroll down to the B section to find a few links on what to look for when buying an Rx7.
Then go to the R section to find a bunch of links on reliability mods.

..#1:..he has 5 posts.
#2:..He got Banned!..already?..awwww.too bad!
#3:.. he can't SPELL Rotary..Even though it is in TYPE on the Club's name!
..now.who would you like to get advice from?

There is a Guy named Aaron Cake. (www.aaroncake.net ) .Go to his website and start to 'absorb his info".He is a wee bit "eccentric"(sorry Aaron, but that is putting it Mildly..haha!),But The Man knows his stuff.
The "archives" sections of the Forums contain alot of Info that has been done to cars.IF you are wondering about it,It has been done,Got The Tshirt, read about it!..haha.
the Specific Sections are good too,Post up the Question, someone will answer.
.Overall you will not find a better place that has the Info than this Forum,so Use it to your advantage,Cheers STYX!~

I missed the part of where to look for an FD.

Best place is right here:
