leaning towards a turbo swap
Ok so here is the deal..... I got a stellar deal on an 86 sport in mint condition for $1350 from a millionair that bought it brand new. Problem: he never reved it past 4k and ran the wrong oil, so the compression is sitting around 80 so the motor is in need of replacement (or rebuild, but im not interested in that)
so.......question is, i have been trying to decide on wheather to drop a street ported motor built for a supercharger down the road (few months at most), or putting a turbo on it. I am leaning toward turbo now but cant find any aftermarket kits for the car so if I buy or have built a tii, is it just a drop in application or is there more involved that needs to be done with the car before hand? Tranny, engine bay, radiator, etc.... Hoping its just a drop in, or very little mods to drop it in, but I don't know.
Please help, I really want to get started but dont know what im in for with a turbo swap..
Thx

Don't waste your time with thinking of superchargers. It's not worth the time and effort.
Since your engine is already tired, you are a prime candiate for a TII swap. Check the FAQ for what is required but it is all bolt-on stuff.
