i bought an 84 rx7 from some guy on craigslist for 2300. sweet interior! i know nothing of cars, as this is my first car and im not even out of highschool yet. im pretty pumped about it, and i come home one day to find an oil patch in the driveway about the middle of the car, towards the front. the guy used duct tape to fix the leak. i dont know what to do. should i take it in and have someone else fix it, or rip the tape off and see what is going on, and maybe someone here could give me directions. im sure this Q has been asked, as there is a thread in the FAQ, but i dont know anything about cars, so i dont even know where to look. help me? :P i can try and take pics if that would help. thanks,

What is the duct tape patch on? Take a picture if you can. You obviously need to get it fixed, and whether you do it yourself or have someone else do it is up to you. But at least if you can narrow it down to a specific part, you can source a replacement.
