just want to clarify a few things before putting the engine back together

ok so tomorrow i should be porting out the wastegate and after that we'll start putting everything back onto the block. before i do so, i just want to make sure i do it right and ask some of you experienced members...
first let me fill you in on the car..
91 TII, full 3" exhaust (no cats), fcd, safc 2 (haven't gotten it set up yet), hks bov, removed all emissions

since the car has been down i have done the vacuum rack removal, had injectors cleaned, new throttle cable, couple new gaskets, o-rings, omp lines, will be porting wastegate, cleaned turbo, new fuel lines & fuel filter, and misc other non engine things.

now for the questions...

-after the wastegate is ported, approximately how much boost will the car be pushing?
-i currently am running with factory injectors and fuel pump. is it safe to boost the car at all considering that i have the fcd and exhaust? if so, what is safe.
-is it better to use heat wrap rather than the factory heat shield? should i use both? should i use the factory shield and then wrap the downpipe?

i can't think of anything else at the moment...

thanks guys

The car should be running stock boost after the wastegate is ported. It may be a bit higher due to the exhaust but the design of the S5 wastegate is pretty good so it should keep boost close to stock.

With your current setup, about 8 PSI is probably the safe limit.

If you still have the heat shields then put them in place. Wrapping with heat wrap as well would be even better.
