just hooked up an MSD 6al box, Now the tach dosent work???? help!
i just installed an MSD 6al box and after re wireing the leading coil. i have no tach..
like when i start the car it jumps like it normally does. but then returns to 0 like its
getting no signal.... i know the MSD 6al box has a tach output plug in slot on the
side, i think its for aftermarket tachs, but im trying to figure out if this can be / needs
to be hooked to the old tach wire and which wire is it? i wanted to try and figure this
out before i tear the dash apart and trying to trace the tach wire....
this is a 1980 first gen rx7... im trying to go out to the track tonight plzzz help???
sucks raceing with out a tach lol

It should work. If you have an '80, the tach wire should have come off the old leading coil (-). After '80, they took the signal off of trailing.
Are you getting spark on leading. I assume that you are, but I thought that we should check spark before checking the wiring.
