Just got my 7, lots of work, lots of spare parts, worth anything?
So I just bought my 7 today, and it came with a lot of spare parts that I hope I can possible sell to make a little extra in order to pay for the rebuild (has poor compression because of bad apex seals). I have a fairly new alternator, a huge wiring harness, and a ton of things I don't even know what they are. I can most likely add some pictures of the stuff, I believe there is also a replacement turbo.
Basically I am planning on getting the engine rebuilt, then replacing the exhaust because the previous guy had some lame loud muffler. Is there anything I should specifically look for in all of this junk to sell, or anything I should fix before the exhaust after the engine gets done?

With RX-7's, you keep EVERYTHING until the car is completely done, registered, passes emissions but still runs like a bat outta Hell, looks the way you want it to look inside and out and has the fresh paint job.
Then considering selling the leftovers. But don't do it here in this board or start "what do you think it's worth?" threads in other non-classifieds boards with the intent of selling it there, either.

mar3 is right keep everything you never know what you will need and if you got with the car it will save you money unless you have the cash to buy something twice lol (i don't)

I have about two cars worth of parts stored around in my garage and storage shed. An extra transmission, Engine in peices seats, interior peices alternators water pumps etc. Its nice to be able to get parts from my bucket of parts when i need to. Definitly save what you can until your car is done.

I built solid wood shelves with virtual tree trunks for support all along one wall in my garage...it is separated into straight race (could be used on any of the cars), RX-7/rotary parts for SA's and FB's and then the Pontiac/Firebird section. It's got cylinder heads up there, bumpers, rear seats, full nitrous set-ups, AN fittings, stainless-steel braided hose coiled up in various diameters, fuel supply set-ups plus my hoard of parts from salvage yard pecking over the past 29 years.
Now it's just a matter of finding the time to work on the cars.

Well I have been looking through my Hayne's manuals and through the parts and so far it looks like I have a thermostat coil thats un opened, a charcoal canister, an alternator, a ton of seals, a ton of gasket peices? and I lot of replacement dash peices like all of the light, windshield wiper switches. I am going to need a new set of gauges though.

I kinda used a haynes manual to take some inventory. I have an:
intake manifold
throttle and dynamics chamber
charcoal canister
old rusted flywheel
brand new crank angle sensor
a new thermostat
for some damn reason a mitsubishi alternator
AC/Heat Hub for the dash
coil with igniter (trailing end)
what looks like the housing for a turbine of the turbo
and a crap ton of little circuit boxes I can't tell apart.
I also have a completely new gasket kit and a bag of seals but I don't know if they would be for the rotor or what. Definitely didn't see any apex seals though.

After bringing up my rx7 turbo from rebuilding, swapping interior colors, and currently bodykitting and painting, I have really learned to rebuy stuff after selling it because I didn't think I needed it. Ebay is very good for finding people to want your rx7 stuff after your done. I currently have leftover junk on there now!
warning lights, door panel lights, hks turbo timer, pass. power window switch, power mirror switch, etc.
