JDM Track FC3S.. trying to find all the goodies
Hey guys,
I am suspecting the car I just imported has a twin disk clutch. Is it a characteristic of a twin disk to make some slight noise when clutch is depressed? it sounds fine when idling not like a pilot or throw out bearing noise.
Also the car idles pretty low, I need to follow the write up about idle adjustment and I will follow up.
Also when pulling hard, (and this car pulls hard) all the lights flash, im thinking this is alternator belt slip? it has some brand new black JDM alternator with a bee on it. Looks legit lol.
Things I have found on the car are, hks evc 5, circuit attack counter, fully gutted and painted floorboard and ceiling, 10 or 12 pt cusco rollcage, bride bucket seat, momo race wheel, twin disk clutch???, hks BOV, 16 inch ssr type c, Coilovers--I think buddy club, 5 zigen exhaust, front lip, bunch of greddy gauges. 300zx big brakes.... whew a lot of stuff.

sounds awesome, take some pictures through the transmission inspection hole.
Chances are you have an os giken twin disc. Super popular over there.
you will be able to tell by the gold pressure plate. I find the twins will make different whinning noises.
as for idle adjustment, you can try the manual way, or it can need a fresh retune. Try to find a local tuner that deals with HKS. I once saw an hks ems being tuned, throught it was great. But then never ever found someone with the liscense to tune them.

I will do that when I get home!.
Im not sure it has a HKS VPro though. I will check the ECU tonight. My friend actually has a bootleg HKS license lol. we just take his computer with the software to any tuner and they use that. Mainly for all 1jz 2jz cars around here though.
And another question, how much are these cars possibly worth? like I said, im going to sell this one for the price it cost to get it here due to too much race car status for me lol.

With an HKS Boost controller installed, its probably pretty safe to say this car has a tuned ecu right? I don't think the guys from the mother land would have just slapped on a boost controller right?
