MO Jdm harness usdm ecu

So I got my Jdm motor today with harness. They said it was for an s5. Even though the harness is Jdm shouldnt my usdm ecu plug up to it? I have my usdm harness still which I gonna use, I just want to make sure they sent me an s5 not an s4. Any help would be appreciated.

If your ECU will not plug into the JDM harness, it's not the same series. Plug shapes are different.

For any swap, keeping the existing harness is easiest.

It is an s5 motor cause the s4 injectors and injector clips are different but my usdm harness plugged up to everything fine. thats from what ive researched. Ive read the s5 harness wont fit s4 injectors cause theyre different and s4 injectors are different color then the s5.. Or am I wrong?

S5 injector clips are oval and S4 are rectangular. They do not interchange without cutting them off.

There is also a huge amount of turbo swap information the 2nd gen FAQ at the top of this section. Injector part numbers, colors and tab offset are also in there.
