Intro and Help Please

Hi everyone. My names Houston. I've had a couple 240sxs, camaros, cobalt ss. As of now I've got our 2011 Altima, 07 Titan, 03 350z, 95 240sx, and just bought a 93 RX-7.

Dark green. R1 with Touring. 130K miles. 5 Spd. Needs little work, its rough. But got it for 7k. The guy was not that great with cars but he tried to remove the emissions. He plug up the hoses with screws. Its completely stock besides some custom exhaust and crappy intake. The guy tried to install an alarm system and failed by screwing up the wiring to the car, so I've got plans on taking the harness out and having it fixed by a shop, once I find one. It smells like a gas leak and backfires quite a bit.

I drove it back home, about 250 miles. Drove it for a week and now it has such a hard time starting. It will only start if its being boosted and if it has not been ran recently. My temp gauge is not working due to the wiring. It ran great the first week. It turns over but will not fully crank, on its own. Once you do get it to crank, it runs great. It idles little high at about 2100. I think I was told it should idle at around 800. And I think I was told these motors are prone to flooding, am I correct? Maybe that's the problem? Anyone here from around Memphis TN?
