Intake for the TII?

I currently have a ghetto rigged intake to the turbo which is basically all the stock piping and at the end of it is the glorious 'INTIMIDATOR' (APC. hah.) intake filter which does not even fit on correctly.
I was just curious about what everyone thinks is the best solution for this.. I was thinking the HKS Megaflow. I'm not sure if it's really a good idea to get rid of the MAF sensor, though...

Sorry for the noob question.

**Just to clarify, the car came with the ghetto intake setup.

You can't remove the AFM without going to a full standalone.

The HKS Super MegaFlow is a truly terrible intake. The foam filter is sub par and is known to break up and be ingested by the engine.

The common approach is to build a new TID (turbo inlet duct) using ABS or aluminum pipe bends. The key is then building a cold air box to make sure the filter is sucking fresh air and not hot air.

building the tid was my next choice. i've got some pretty nice and flexible aluminum ducting pipe to use. my friend wants me to cut out an intake scoop in the hood, since i'm getting a cf hood at some point anyways.

Aluminum ducting is a bad choice if it's the same stuff used on dryers.

Just buy a $20 ricer civic intake on ebay (but get a real filter). All you need is a short pipe, with a 45* bend. The PCV connection requires about a 1/4" nipple & the stock BOV will need a 13/16" nipple, so you'll need to adapt the pipe a bit.

Not to mention they sell cheap CAI's for fc's on there aswell, with the provisions for emissions. Just replace the filter with something worthwhile.
