Idle Hunting
Hi guys. A few days ago I started my car again (1996 jdm series 4 fd) after it had been sitting for a few month and after changing the water pump, fuel filter, OMP oil lines and redoing most of the vacuum lines. Now it does idle hunting wether it is cold or up to temperature. I have tried every solution I could find online (testing tps, checking my vacuum lines, fiddeling with the thermowax) and nothing seems to be solving my issue. Further more, after reving the car a few times, my blow-off valve didn't engage anymore, but is still plugged in correctly. Finally, the idle hunting gets worse when I turn on the ventilation inside the car or switch the parking lights on. Also, it sometimes sounds a bit like a 4-rotor which worries me a lot.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I also changed spark plugs and wires
I hope I was not too confusing an gave you enough details to understand my issue

Yes, I put a new gasket on. I have also ordered new gaskets for the y-pipe and throttle body since they were a bit worn out. How do I check for vacuum leaks?

Just using the terms "hunting idle" in TITLES ONLY in the 3rd Gen. Tech Section...….

UPDATE
I installed proper spark plug wires (those I had previously put on were for -95 lhd models and on the jdm 1996 model, the ignition coils are set up differently. Also changed the gasket that goes between the intake manifold and the throttle body. When I started the car, the idle was stable but very high (around 3k) then I slightly gave it a little throttle and the idle dropped to 1k, stayed there for a bit and then the idle hunting resumed, but less aggresively. I sprayed brek cleaner under the manifold and onto the black box (I think you call that the rats nest?) and it seemed to stabilize the idle, so I guess I have to redo all the tubings
Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll come back to you when the problem is solved
