idiot light problem

So i have a 88 N/A and recently, whenever I'm low on gas the gas light will no longer turn on. i know its not the bulb thats out because when i turn the car on, all the lights turn on fine for that brief second or two. also when i stall the car and all the lights come on i can see it working just fine.
Also a couple days ago the e brake light came on when i took a turn a little fast and didnt go off for a good 15 minutes. i have heard that when that light comes on and stays on you need to do some minor brake work, but I'm not convinced thats the problem due to the fact it turned off by itself after 15 minutes and hasn't shown up again. i don't think i have any major problems but just the little things like this can get to be really annoying. Any suggestions?

The low fuel senders break down with age. Just use the gauge. A replacement requires changing out the whole fuel pump assembly.

The e-brake light only comes on when you have the handle at least part way up. It has nothing to do with the condition of your brake pads/discs.

The brake light warning will also come on if the brake fluid level is low which taking a turn at speed could cause the light to come on if it is close to the low line. The brake light will also come on if either or both of the brake lights in the tail section are out.
