I think im geting fuel cut
I have a 1988 mazda rx7 the guy i bought it from put a 91 turbo 2 swap motor tranny and rear end it has 550cc injectors an aeromotive fuel regulator and filter stock fuel pump it has a greddy bov and blitz exaust but outher then that it is stock it also has a apxie safc but it is not hooked up when i drive regular it is fine when i hit it and get on it shakes and cuts out like it dies out I need help please i just bought a walbro 255 fuel pump from ebay and it has not came in yet but what do you guys think
I want to say that fuel cut on a S4 is 7psi, can you double check you boost gauge with another pressure gauge. This will make sure it isnt over boosting.
Then hit me back up
Then hit me back up
Fuel cut is 8.6psi for both S4s & S5s, and stock boost is 5.5psi (S4) & 7.5psi (S5), but double check that you're not actually making more boost than you think. Bog the car down by shifting into say 4th gear under 3k RPM, then step on it. If the car is going to creep past the preset level, it will be in the 3k-5k range under high load. You'll need to have an aftermarket gauge to check this.
ok I will check that I changed the spark plugs and it made it a lot better now im having a problum when im driving all of a sudden it just bogs heavy or starts spuddering i have to shift gears or lower my rpms my tach dont work though so i cant see what rpm im at but it sounds arounds 3k or 4k it is like mid range what do you guys think
If it's bogging while under medium to heavy acceleration, and while making full boost, it's fuel cut. If not, it's something else.
If your tach is not working, check the 3 plugs going into the ECU to be sure they're tight. One of them has the connection between the ECU and tach, and I've had a loose plug keep the tach from working in the past.
