FL I need help with choices.

I've got an '88 GXL. What I want out of my RX7 is 250-350 HP, bridgeport exhaust note, and hopefully some daily drivability. Money isn't an issue. I don't have much of it now, but I'm willing to throw it into something I love.

I've searched and come to the conclusion I may be asking for too much.

I started off planning to work with the car I've got, then I decided I should swap an S5 TII drivetrain, then I decided I should just buy an S5, now I'm thinking about porting my GXL.

I've heard I shouldn't swap S5 stuff into an S4. I can't find S5 TII's in my area, people only have convertibles. It sounds like an N/A doesn't lend well to bridgeports.

I don't know what to do. Any advice?

250-350 HP is a 100HP range. That's a large range.

You can do 250HP NA fairly easily with an NA bridgeport. You'll need a custom intake setup and a standalone with a loud exhaust.

300HP is doable as well full bridge and a good tune.

350HP is starting to push it on an NA bridgeport without having to build it for high RPM.

You won't get a bridgeport exhaust note without the bridgeport.

How about just swapping in the turbo drivetrain, running at 12 PSI or so, and putting down 250HP?

Alright. With everything I was thinking about doing, I was leaning towards a TII swap (or find a whole TII car). It seemed like a better place to start. You definitely helped me out there.

I'll start looking into that and bridgeporting a TII.

Yeah. T2 swap FTW. I'm staying N/A on my 12A because... well I just am. But definitely get the T2 swap, or a 20B, yum...
