I've got an '83 GSL that keeps

leaking oil as shown in the photo. Any idea what I should fix?

welcome to the board.

you start saving for a rebuild. it's likely to be your dowel o-rings leaking.

1. clean it and see if you can see where it's coming from.
2. also see how long it takes for it to get oil again.
3. fill the sump and see how many miles you can go before you need to add a quart.

Thanks. I'll try some of that oil stop leak stuff and see how that works. I've got to replace the cats first to get it running though.

please do NOT put that in, that stuff is the biggest gimmick just like bars leakstop or any other brand, all it is is a flea market band aid that doesn't stick and makes things worse, itchy, and infected

The only fluid that goes into the oil filler tube is oil. PERIOD.

The best advice is above. Clean it up, start the car and determine where it is coming from.

In that area it is very common for the O-rings under the oil filter to leak.
