I have a 91 coupe, what is the most highly regarded cat-back exhaust out there?

I'd suggest you stay away from single exhausts. They are all very loud, mostly cheaply made and make the car look broken.

Agreed^ it is hard to find an aftermarket bumper with a single exhaust too and when you do it will be a riced out kit more then likely

definitely disagree!!

single exhaust is louder, but it sounds better, its easier to work on and its lighter

look into Apex GT spec, my favorite system, its stainless steel all the way, very good quality, made in japan.

Apex N1 is cool too and they make duals..

Well, we'll have to disagree then.

Me personally, I don't see the point of a sub 200HP car being as loud as a jet dragster, especially something as slow as an S5 'vert. Also, to me, any exhaust that is louder is immediately not better just because it is louder.

Not really sure how it is easier to work on, and exactly how often are you working on your exhaust?

Lighter? Meh...Maybe important at high levels of track competition but on the street, 15 LBs here or there doesn't matter.

Plus with a single, people will always ask "when did the other one fall off?" or "are you ever going to fix that muffler? It sounds terrible!".

i think some people would be smart enough to know there is such thing as a single exit on an rx7, rather than assume it fell off somewhere
@petex, apexi gt spec is too big unfortunately, quite expensive too, i want to go with 2.5'' corksport power series and than get the 12 lb rb header and presilencer too

Yeah, you'd think so, but not so much. To the non-enthusiast public, RX-7s are just some old car. Add a loud exhaust and a missing muffler and you can imagine what people think.

Hell, I'm an RX-7 enthusiast and I still think single exhausts look silly and broken.
