well, I'm still fighting my cooling system on my '87 n/a and now I noticed that the oil presser gauge is not working. neither my dad or my self can remember if it was working when we got it or not. I don't think there is zero oil pressure (like the gauge is reading), because we drove it the other day testing the cooling for about 5 miles-ish and the car didn't blow up, but it did over heat. I checked the wire on the oil sensor and it is still attached, so IDK whats up with it. we have replaced all of the cooling system expect the rad and the hoses....but the hoses look good and we see no leaks any ware, and it doesn't seem like it's losing coolant. I'm going to double check the rad for clogs and replace the fan/fan clutch tomorrow.

with that said, I start college again in about 2 weeks so I need a car or I have to drop classes. on e-bay a '78 ('79 model) RX7 was listed close by where I live that seem like a gem of a find.

"1978 Mazda RX-7. One owner. One of the first RX-7's ever brought to the U.S.A! 60,000 original miles! Runs great and looks great. All stock except rims and seats. I have the original rims. Was a custom order in '78 with a rear seat. The only RX-7 I have ever seen with a rear seat. Have title, and title is clean. This is a piece of history that someone can own for an extremely cheap price!"

it didn't sell so I made him an offer.....we'll see what happens with that.

it's a Manual(my '87 is auto )

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...WAX%3AIT#v4-13 there's the e-bay listing. does it look good.... or does it look if-e?

As for the '78, it looks like a great buy. The early 1st gens were dead reliable and have a character that is hard to find in the later RX-7s. I had a '78 for two years that I used as a beater (it was in terrible condition) and I loved every minute of it. If that one was closer to where I lived and I didn't already have 4 cars then I would have been bidding against you.

Make sure the gauge is plugged in at the sender. Clean the connection and wiggle it around.

If that doesn't do it, procedures to test the gauge are in the FSM. Most of the time, it is the sender that has failed.
