Congrats on you new ride. Well there are tons of info in here about it.
It's the car stock, any mods?
What year is it?
What do you want the car for? Do you have the founds to do what you want to do to the car?
Have you done some mechanic work or doing it yourself?
It's more complicated than just tell you suspension, single turbo, rebuild engine if needed, fuel upgrade , ignition upgrade and the list keeps going.
Search my friend, I guaranty you that you will find what you need here.
Good luck

That's cool. Take the time and learn as much as you can so you don't run into much problems with the build. What is you end goal as of right now? What do you want to do with the car? I am guessing you want more power?

Keep us posted..

As of right now i kinda just wanna do any preventative maintenance measures that i can and also increase power. I am saving looks for later.
Someone mentioned to me about pre mixing. So currently trying to research on that and the omp. Not sure how the omp works and if it is reliable. Does it come stock on the fd rx-7? How does it work?
There are so many little things to know.

Now you are in the right track. I am not an expert or senior member, but the fd comes with omp, and injects oil to the rotors apex seals. What I have understood is that you can premix with a working omp. I don't know about oil volume is injected, but you can find more details about it from one of the wise folks.

Most of your curious questions have been asked numerous times over the span of the Lifetime of the Forum and the info posted so you can easy browse the topics you ask of.
Take a bit of time..grab a sandwich,a beer( or coffee) and sit back and start reading about your newly acquired acquisition. The 3rd Gen Specific Section in your case is a good start.,

Trust me..I HATED when someone said "SEARCH!"..but honestly I just sat back and read constantly about what members posted on their cars and Dammit!,I was soon intrigued on how Much info was available and how EASY it was to grasp the operation of the car.
People who say "those cars are Hard to work on" never HAD ONE!

Good luck to ya!

Use the one you trust the most or look it up in here. I got a head ache when I tried searching. It comes down to cheng in you oil more often thank advise by the owners manual. I use pennzoil just because I used it before, I used castrol too. Some people say Castrol is good.

Congratulations on the car.
As Styx told you, learning to search and answer your own questions is key to success with the car. I STRONGLY suggest you not do ANYTHING to the car except routine maintenance for a while. Download a copy of the Factory Service Manual from the FAQ sticky linked below. If the car is sound and running well, when you know more about it then try things like changing vacuum lines...even purple ones. Try screwing with the car before you know what you're doing and it's going to become a jack-stand ornament. Once out of the New Member section, if you keep asking questions that are easily answered on your own...like what brand of oil, you become annoying and it can get ugly.

I had one at some point before, but knew nothing. I have learned a few things over the years from research and just having a maintenance job. I have a lot of big plans for this car.

You don't know how the OMP works, if it's 'stock' equipment and probably couldn't even find it on the car if you had to...but you've read a little about pre-mixing. You're asking about what oil to use, what viscosity and what brand. Your plan is to add performance mods and you don't even have the car yet, so you likely haven't even heard it run.
I understand your excitement, but you need to slow down and consider the biggest reliability modification takes place in your head.

Awesome car. Looks a little slick out there though. If you are new to the fd be mindful they can get a little squirrelly when you least expect it. As for mods take a deep breath, enjoy the car and get a feel for what it has to offer. Id run it through a couple of maintenance cycles first. You might find your first couple of projects right there.
