How to get windows up and down when doors off car

How to get windows up and down when doors off car

I'm currently doing a respray on my FC . I've taken the doors off the car and left the windows up has anyone run power to the regulater to make them go up and down will it work?.

Sure, you could hotwire the motors.

There are two wires connected to the motor. One gets positive voltage while the other gets a ground. Place the door close to the battery and go from there. The green wire gets voltage to make the window go down and the red gets the ground. Wiring it up opposite will make the windows go in a reverse direction.

no experience with power windows in a 7 but it's also possible that the motor grounds itself thru the frame and one wire each is hot thru the switch for up or down.

The main switch, which gets its ground through the body is what provides the ground to both motors as per the FSM.
