How do I flush my coolant (FC)
okay,
it looks like someone took a mean *** dump in my radiator. much nasty. so i want to do a coolant flush right? i did it once on a crown vic (ugh!) i used to own
i installed a t-fitting in the heater hose. i then hooked up a garden hose and turned it on until clean water came out of the radiator neck.
is it okay to do this to my FC? ill be very upset is i mess up my car due to more stupidity...
BTW, i broke the power steering belt tension pulley today. so you know i want to do this right.

There's a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator, and another on the side of the block, next to the driver-side engine mount. I'd probably open both of them up and let all the brown coolant drain out to start. If you remove the thermostat cover and thermostat, you could then run water straight through the water pump housing into the block to flush it out. You can flush the radiator easily once the upper rad. hose is off.
