Don't street race. Don't put everyone else on the road in danger to support your own childish goals. Take it to the local track on a Friday night and not only will it be legal and safe, but you will have timeslips to prove it.

Highly accurate timing lights, so no guessing..
Only one car at a time, no chance of accidents.
AND IT'S LEGAL!!!

Anyway, if you can drive then your car should out handle the fwd Honda. Tilt the game to your favor however possible. You've obviously already chosen your weapon, so see if he'll let you choose the arena.
Then, just be sure to choose wisely. Autocross will involve tricky corners, decreasing radius turns, slaloms,
and all kinds of other fun stuff. Maybe that would be to your advantage. Plus, you would have the support
of all of us, so you maybe have expert advise where he doesn't. Use every advantage, if this is so important that it absolutely must be done. Do it right the first time.

Like the guy who had to fight the expert knife fighter to the death.
His opponent chose the weapons,
so he said that they had to fight blind folded in a clever bid to rebalance the odds.....

+1

Any unprofessional driver can drive somewhat
fast in a straight line. And again, a turbo Honda will beat a N/A rx7 with no
engine work done. It not worth hurting someone over. That is what I meant. What
if your parents where coming down that road and you hit and killed them. How
would you feel? And Even worse yet, what if you took someone else
grandma, mother, father, sister, son? Think about it.
I hope you win though!

Turn him down if he won't. When he says no then tell him your not going to get someone killed to impress him. Make sure there's a crowd when you say it. You'll look like the bigger, smarter man and it will turn out in your favor in the end. If he's up for it, then yes use the slicks. Chances are he put all his money into the tiny turbo and forgot about tires, so if you hook while he sits at the line spinning his tires you'll have the upper hand. Lots of races have been won by the guy who got the better launch. Also, if you have the chance, get to the track beforehand and practice. Find the better lane to run. Sometimes one lane will be more slick than the other, so find out before you race which one it is.

And for the love of god use spell check. It's giving me a headache trying to decipher what your trying to say.

If its a turboed d16z6 or d16y8 he should have u pretty easily. we did a shitty home made kit on a freind car and he competes with low 14 sec cars running 6 pounds on a 14b.

Ur car being na should maybe run (low 15s?) so idk run from a dig and u might have him if u can drive.

I can see you read my post.

Why challenge him to the arena that will serve him best instead of you?
If you are going to take him on, make him turn the damn wheel too!
What did I tell you about using every advantage to ensure a win?
Damn kids! Can't tell them a damn thing these days!
Why, back in my day we used to blah blah blah.......

I agree, it's most likely a D16Z6 with an ebay turbo kit. Those turbo kits are geared to be run at 8lbs of boost. Which would allow for him to make roughly 180whp. That would put him in the high 14's with traction.

honda?

when I was younger I woulda dusted him ion the spot, but now that I know better I'd ask him to pop his hood. U never know with hondas, but I hope you spanked him regardless. Running your mouth like that is just stupid.

If you don't know what autocross is, you aren't qualified to race. On the street, on the track, anywhere.

Good idea. Then it will take extra time for the ambulance to get there too...

Go to youtube, search "autocross". Learn. If the drag strip is 40 minutes away, then it's a good thing you own a car. Your not walking, your driving. If your not willing to drive that far to prove a point then don't bother racing. At least at the strip there's a wall and an ambulance there in case you get sideways halfway down the track. I can see this ending a couple of ways. Either he crashes, so you win by default, you crash and he wins by default, you both crash making it a tie, or he spanks your NA FC, and your not only left looking stupid because you shot your mouth off and lost, but also because you raced on a public road that you can only assume there will be no traffic on. 90% chance you won't hit a thing, but that 10% is still there, and you need to ask yourself if it's really worth it. What do you stand to gain in the long run from winning this race? I don't mean tomorrow or at the end of the week, but at this time next year when people have more important things on their minds than that race way back in September, what good will it do you?

Still missing the point I see!
Think About it Again

The Drag Strip Is Only 40 Min Away. Not really that far! And If you do beat him
at the Drag Strip. Many More Will See!

Yes, please...

Without a clue and unwilling to learn. I did my best, but this kid is beyond saving... He should just log off, light his computer on fire, and trade his 7 for a Honda, or a Kia, or something super duper cool...

I do believe that he deserves to be beaten.

Also about the slicks. What a stupid idea, you are actually going to be slower. You have a n/a fc. 160hp if that, with 2800lbs. vs the civic with 180hp in a 2300 chassis? Do you not know that power to weight...

Also it's not expensive to turbo a honda. I could find a full turbo kit anywhere for $700, a turbo is a turbo.

Kid, just stop being retarded... You will no doubt lose. Also 40 minutes to the drag strip isn't far, my closest drag strip is 2 hours away. But I still go there.

But I guess you are a lost cause. Sell your rx for a civic.
