high idle when lights are on...?

hey..is a third gen rx7 supposed to idle high when the front lights are on? anyone know..

To compensate for the extra current draw from the headlights the idle is raised to increase the alternator output.

how high are we talking? what rpm? try and be specific when posting things like this so people can understand whats happening and give you correct info.

yes, it is somewhat normal, but depending on how high, there may still be a (potential) problem. it can't hurt to check your grounds.
