High idle with new coils please help!`
Hi,
I have a 88 turboII and I bought it it had boost leaks, needed two injectors, and fpr.
I replaced the fuel pump, got 2 brand new oem injectors, new fpr, had a mazda dealer adjust my tps. It started up everytime before any of this was done. I got it back after the tps adjustment and it ran amazing. Then I turned it off and my trailing coils were dead. So after weeks of waiting to get my part I installed it and tried to start it again and it wouldnt go so I replaced the battery and terminals. Starts now but still has the hot start problem?! and the rpms go to like 4 and drop to about 2 nd stay there sometimes stays at 3? Do I just need to readjust my tps? Because of the new coils? and anyone got a clue on the hot start problem still?
Thank you so much !

Cold start idle is supposed to be at 3k RPM for ~17 seconds, then it will drop to about 1.5k RPM. Once fully warm, it should sit at about 750 RPM.
Hot start problems are common (especially on S4 TIIs). There are some work arounds, but the root cause is the stock ECU delivers way too much fuel when cranking.
