High-beams won't stay on?

I have a 90 vert with a high-beam issue. My current selector switch will not keep my high-beams on. I can hold it in and the high-beams come on but will not stay on. I replaced the selector switch and had the same issue. Any thoughts?

It's possible the replacement part was defective as well. The role of the Dimmer Switch is to send a ground signal to the Dimmer Relay. W/the lights on this would cause the high beams to turn on. Locate the Dimmer Relay and w/the lights on jumper a ground wire to the relay plug where the White wire resides. If the high beams come on when doing this then chances are the Dimmer Switch is at fault.
