ive got a 1988 rx7. right under the shifter there is a small control for sport or regular suspension ive read this firms up the suspension and improves handling in cornering. my question is if i wanted to upgrade the suspension but wanted to keep this option what would i have to do??

There are no aftermarket options that preserve that system.

That's the Automatic Adjusting Suspension (AAS) System found only on the GXL model.

Your only choice is to replace with new OEM struts, or buy an expensive aftermarket adjustable system such as that made by Tein.
