CA best way to lube the rotary?

Hi in confused, I read on youtube if the rotor gets enough oil it can last 200,000. miles before rebuild.

how due you lube it? is there a remote pump that only sparys in enough oil for each rpm, or do you just pour in some two stroke oil after you fill it up at the gas station?
Thanks Joe

The Metering Oil Pump (MOP or OMP as people like to call it) is located on the front cover of the engine, towards the right hand side of the engine. (Near the exhaust manifold.)

It will inject oil into the engine to lubricate the seals.

Sometimes people take it out or it fails. A little 2 stroke in the tank won't hurt. People call this Premixing.

They usually use a 128:1 ratio of Fuel to Oil.

On 1988 and earlier engines, it is mechanical. The engine spins it and it is controlled by the throttle.
On 1989 and later vehicles, it is electronic and controlled by the ECU.
It is connected to the intake and/or oil injectors on the housing by plastic tubes.

I wouldn't be using youtube comments as a source of reliable information.

I prefer to keep the OMP functional, so I don't have to mess around with premixing at every fill-up. But that's mainly due to the fact that I have an S4 mechanical pump, and not the failure-prone S5 pump.

Even if you have a working omp it still is a good idea to pre-mix alittle when you remember about it, you never know if it might quit working one day
