Help.. Starter Bolt Size
Hey all,
I just bought a new starter for my 91 Rx-7. When I bought the vehicle there was no starter in it and… no bolts for it.
I have been calling around auto shops and even a Mazda dealership to help me figure out what size bolts I need, but no one could. So you guys are my last hope..

welcome to the board.
so you will need two bolts and a nut. also, keep in mind that a tape measure was all i had on-hand, so the measurements are not precise.
the important info for the long bolt is that it will need to be M10 and about 5.5 inches (about 140 mm) long. it will need a matching nut. the starter itself is not threaded, so any pitch should be fine. this is the "upper" bolt and it will need to pass through the engine and starter.
the short bolt (the "lower" one) is an M10 x 1.5, and it will need to be about 30 mm long.
hope this helps and good luck with it.
